Anyone used ruby on rails before?

I just d/l'd it & i was pretty impressed, wondering if any of yall had any opinions about it

yep, you're the good guy let me tell ya. you told me it was a scripting language and threw in a jab at me about .net. if i'd made a jab at you about macs, you'd be cryin. i guess i'll just look it up rather than attempting to continue discussion about the topic.

I told you exactly what it was...

I wouldn't be crying if you made fun of macs, I wasn't even making fun of .NET. I've said before, I use .NET everyday and though I don't like everything about it, it works. You on the other hand have a very limited user knowledge of Macs but act like anything cool that Mac users find is stupid. There's a difference.

What's funny is that RoR is very Mac-centric, though it can be used on Windows just fine. The one guy who developed it was a Mac user so he developed a lot of tools for the Mac along the way. There are versions now for Windows as well.

Think of it this way, it does what we usually have to do in .NET for us, the configuration changes in our XML, etc. and lets us focus on application functionality. (see, I am being nice).
