McCain said he's running for president in '08 on David Letterman last night. He'll be making an official statement later.

Also, if you knock down an opponent from a strike, you follow him down to continue the fight and possibly finish it quicker with a referee stoppage/aforementioned submission. I have a feeling McCain gets kickbacks/support from the boxing commissions around his neck of the country (seems to be a common point raised by many big name defenders of MMA about him).
