QUOTE According to a UCS survey whose findings were presented to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, more than 40 percent of the 279 scientists who responded said their work had been edited to more closely reflect the administration's position on climate change. Well, at least he's not ignoring science anymore. He's just making science say what he wants it to say. -------------------- Holy shit, pebkac, you're awesome! Explain this logic... The only technologically feasable solution to stop wide-scale production of greenhouse gasses is getting rid of all the coal-fired power plants in the world. Coal-fired power plants are responsible for over half of the greenhouses produced by man. Why do we use coal? Because it's dirt cheap, and the waste is "easier" to deal with than that of nuclear byproducts from a nuclear plant. However, we all know good and well that the grade of fuel required for sustainable nuclear power generation can also relativley easily be transformed into nuclear fuel for bombs. Hence forth, the USs' efforts to do everything humanly possible to keep nuclear power generation out of piss ant countries like north korea and Iran. It's pretty much a given that if a country has the capability to produce sustainable nuclear power, they can probably find some way to come up with a bomb. However, nuclear power COULD be the world's answer to global warming. It's the only feasable power source that can drive a hydrogen economy. The problem? As I stated above, rogue states claiming they want civilian nuclear power generation (yeah right) and replacing all of our power generation from coal to nuclear will mean we're generating a SHITLOAD of radioactive waste. So we'll be saving the atmosphere but we'll be degrading our groundwater and god only knows what else as well as giving islamic extremists more capability to produce nuclear bombs. hence why at the present juncture in time I'll take greenhouse gasses for 1000 alex! heh ....perhaps a better idea would be to just get Christine to perfect nuclear fusion with her mAD pHAT pHyZiiiiX sKILLz -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!
