According to a UCS survey whose findings were presented to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, more than 40 percent of the 279 scientists who responded said their work had been edited to more closely reflect the administration's position on climate change.

Well, at least he's not ignoring science anymore. He's just making science say what he wants it to say.

i don't see how getting rid of the words "global warming" is propaganda. there are a lot of terms that are not in common usage today that were 40 years ago.

some people believe we're just in a mild part of an ice age, as melting and re-freezing of the planet has happened countless times in the past.

yeah, thats kinda what I was thinking about. I think we are worrying ourselves WAY too much. Yeah, we need to treat our planet better, but man this is getting out of hand with the fighting back and forth over global warming and the ozone layer

Yeah, the warming that is taking place could be a natural occurrence. Then again, I think it is better to be safe than sorry. And if the word global warming was not such a big deal, why then did they feel the need to omit/change the word?

A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

Yeah, better be safe than sorry, but Im not going to stop using hair spray because it hurts the ozone (not that that applies to me because I dont use aerosol hairspray, but still). The precautions we should be taking are things like not dumping shit in the oceans, lakes, and rivers or chopping down the rainforest. You know? stuff that is significant that we could stop but chose not to.

Additionally (not directed at you Spivey), but what have any of you done to alter your lifestyles for the betterment of the planet? I would like to know. I mean, are you all just bitching again without taking action or do you actually make efforts to conserve this planet's resources? Inquiring minds want to know
