I'm considering getting XM or Sirius for my car once my financial aid comes in. My question is: is there any difference between the services BESIDES the channels you get? (like in terms of reception, etc)

i've never had either, but know several people with XM who love it. my guess is XM probably has better performance in general, as they have "HD" versions now as well as support from high end audio products (aka recievers come equipped with XM, cars come equipped with XM, etc, you don't see sirius nearly as much).
