I am going to be in Austin the weekend of the 15th and was wondering what some good, nice (not formal but close) restaurants are. I know of Carmelo's and it's good food but I was wondering what some other options were.

pappadeuexs is in a lot of places..but the Austin one has been the best that I've been too...and it has the banana crepe dessert unlike any of one in texas..highly recommended....i went there for senior prom..haha....if you dont konw its like a sem-cajun seafood place...everything is good.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have been to Pappadeux's a few times but I can only eat about 3 things on the menu due to my shellfish allergy. I am looking for places that are Austin specific and not chains.
