I had some blood work done last week and got the results this morning. Apparently, my "bad" cholesterol is high.

What is the best way to deal with this? My doctor said to stay away from fatty foods but to be honest I am a pretty healthy eater.

I do not exercise much so would increasing that help?

dude you are talking to the reigning king of high cholesterol...

excercise if you don't normally and it may help, but for me it really doesnt do too much. I excercise, but like those guys on the drug commercial that look healthy and fit, I obviously was on my damn death bed.

in the spring my test showed that my bad cholesterol was 430 and triglycerides were at frickin 900.

they called me the day after I took the test and made me come in...thought I was gonna kill over.

I am positive there was some kind of fluke spike in my test. yes you have to fast, but what you eat the week prior can really affect the test.

now my bad is down to 175, good is high, and triglycerides are at 220ish.

I took omega-3 fish oil pills twice daily and 10mgs of crestor daily. that shit works. no side effects. covered by insurance.

take care of that shit man. it'll kill you.

Mine definitely wasn't 430, more like 180, which is why they didn't think it was a spike. I am supposed to go back in and get it done again later this week. I am going to completely cut the fast food out of my diet (I eat Chick-fil-a once a week).
