are there not laws requiring companies to hire minorities, no matter how under-qualified? are they not admitted to major universities over more qualified white people?

It takes a lot more than anti-discrimination laws to make racism disappear.

And it's not like our legal system convicts blacks disproportionately to whites. Or that our prisons are filled with far more blacks than whites. Or that a Black man with a masters makes less than a white man with a bachelors.

they're not being kicked out of the US because of the color of their skin. they're not being killed solely because of their race. and despite what hippies and minorities may think, they're not being "held down" by "the man".

yes, there is a lot of racism in this country, but people aren't being lynched on street corners and we're not putting them on rafts and sending them to other countries or keeping them in cages. it's not persecution by any means.

Blacks make up 39% of the prison population, but only 12% of the general population. You honestly mean to tell me you believe blacks commit crime at more than 3 times the rate of white people?

No it's not. That's a statistic from the department of labor from one of my sociology classes. I can't find the stat right now and don't feel like digging for any other stats on the subject. The point is, at the same level of education the average white male makes a lot more than the average black male.

you cannot honestly tell me that you believe that actual crime is split perfectly along racial lines. you can't tell me there's just as many white people committing crime as blacks. there's a fucking reason people get scared of becoming a victim when living in certain communities, and it aint predominately white communities. don't act like some non-racist elitist or some shit because you think you're above that.

yes racism against blacks has decreased, and keeps decreasing, but their racism against whites is increasing. they blame white people for everything. "oh i'm not in jail because I got caught selling crack, it was that white judge being racist". "oh it wasn't because of my 2.5 GPA that I didn't get the job, it was because I'm black".

racism will never go away as long as lines keep being drawn. black people say they want equality, and yet they make and still maintain a fucking "National Association for Advancement of Colored People", "United Negro College Fund", "Black Entertainment Television". we have "Affirmative Action". all these things are about as divided and racist as it gets. you can't divide people up and then expect them to act undivided. do you think one day, when racism is truly gone, there will still be a NAACP? or a BET? hell no.
