While talking to a guy at work, somehow the topic got onto OSX for x86, and he mentioned he has the 10.4.8 version (SSE3 only) with the security check for that apple hardware piece disabled. He just brought me the DVD a few mins ago, so I'll give it a shot some time in the next couple days and let you guys know how well it works. I don't mind reformatting several times in the past couple months considering I'm beta testing vista. Oh and he says it's supposed to work on AMDs too. If it works I'll figure out some way to get it to anyone else on here who wants it.

ps if you don't have the SSE3 my coworker says he has the 10.4.6 also.

a few lil things I'm curious about

1) does OSX have dual monitor support? although I'm having to use some dudes 3rd party ATI drivers

2) Is there a way to turn on the "sides" of the window? I.e. is the only way to resize a window the lower right corner?

3) is there some way I can make my home & end keys work the way i want them? It's driving me nuts that I can't use them to go to the end or beginning of a line.

1) Yes, not sure how it works though.
2) No. Although the "+" button is kinda helpful. It'll size it to whatever size you need.
3) Takes some getting used to, but in most programs cmd + left and cmd + right will do the same thing. Cmd + up and Cmd + down will go to the top and bottom of a document.
