I am going to London in March and was wondering what London Gatwick Airport was like compared to Heathrow. I know that it is south of downtown London but that's about it. The flights are definitely more affordable, so if anyone that has flown into Gatwick can tell me if it's just as busy as Heathrow or as much of a headache (I've had a connecting flight there and it sucked) that'd be great.

i've gone through Gatwick twice and it really sucks having to get a train ticket and going all the way down there. but more of a pain than anything. takes about an hour from king's cross maybe. if you're saving money it's good. i think it's less busy than heathrow, but both are probably a bit similar.
