so it looks like Blake Szymanski is going to start for Baylor, anybody know anything about him?

He's more athletic than Shawn Bell was but will never be mistaken for Michael Vick. In the months leading up to the signing of the 2005 recruiting class, Texas Tech was slow-playing him and would have offered him a scholarship (which he would have instantly taken) had Chris Todd elected to join Steve Spurrier in Columbia or Bob Stoops in Norman. Todd ended up sticking with the Red Raiders, so Szymanski committed to the best school that offered him: Baylor. He also held offers from Houston, TCU and Tulsa. He's only taken nine snaps I think, completing two of five passes for a touchdown and an interception. |
