Give it a real thought. What are you passionate about?

QUOTE
pasâ€Â§sion  /ˈpæʃÉ™n/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[pash-uhn] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun
[SPECIFICALLY]
1. any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate.
4. an instance or experience of strong love or sexual desire.
6. a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything: a passion for music.
7. the object of such a fondness or desire: Accuracy became a passion with him.
8. an outburst of strong emotion or feeling: He suddenly broke into a passion of bitter words.
9. violent anger.
10. the state of being acted upon or affected by something external, esp. something alien to one's nature or one's customary behavior (contrasted with action).

Politics? In what way? I feel like if you are truely passionate about something you seek out information, activity that involves, includes, or works towards the thing. Culture? Social Inequality? Playing sports?

What is your definition for "passion"? Is anything excluded from being able to be passionate about? For example can one of your passions just be having a good time?

How important is it for someone to be passionate about things? In a relationship sense is this something you seek out in others or are you indifferent?

I've been meaning to reply to this for awhile but haven't had the chance to sit down and really think it out.

I would say the things I'm passionate about involve family. Both the family that I have and getting to see them as much/often as possible as well as the family that I want to have one day.

I'm passionate about being a mom. I've never been a mom (or even had a scare) but it's just one of those things that I know I'm going to love and can't wait for the time in my life to be right to make it happen. It's especially strong when I see a mom and her kid and I think "one day that'll be me," like this week at work with so many people buying Halloween candy and all I could think about is "I can't wait until my kids are old enough to take them trick or treating" - and I don't even have kids yet! I guess I just know that the mom life is something I'm destined to experience.

I'm also passionate about money when it comes to shopping and getting good deals. Sometimes it's a bad thing because I fear I come off cheap, but there are just some things that I can't do (like $8 movie tickets for example). It's why I shop clearance racks at stores like American Eagle and I absolutely love Kohl's. I still frequent TJ Maxx every time I'm home with my mom and sister (because the one here blows). I guess I'm hoping that this passion one day leads to a comfortable lifestyle and a family with smart money sense.

I guess I'm pretty passionate when it comes to Jason too, but everone can insert their own mushy gushy explanations and theories because it's all pretty obvious.
