Albertville police said Gary Helms Jr., 19, is charged with first-degree rape. Police allege that he sought revenge against his brother after the two argued over a girlfriend and apparently targeted his 45-year-old mother. Police Sgt. James Smith said the victim was sexually assaulted last weekend in her mobile home. Helms, according to Smith, confessed to the attack.
