i understand where you're coming from, corruption on the inside is always a possibility, but think of all the software out there that's this sensitive. banks, credit card companies, stock exchange, military weapons control, air traffic control, utility grids, literally trillions of dollars rides on software. if this type of corruption was so rampant, we'd have a lot more problems than someone trying to rig an election. i personally would trust an electronic voting system more than i would a paper ballot, which has old machines and/or actual people counting them (people who are no doubt low paid and don't care about the voting process).
