Ok, I'm windows-stupid.

oh... well i figured it was something like that since a "hardcore" guy's jaw dropped. is there something i'm missing as to why that's impressive?

You know how in windows when you try to connect to another machine on the network, especially fileshares, it usually hangs for a second while it searches the network? He was mostly impressed with the fact that it was so fast. He has a really nice machine and couldn't believe how quickly it found the share and loaded it. But this off topic and beside the point...
