Wait until you get out of school. Then you will see. Unless you are engineering, nursing, or teaching $13-$17 an hour is what you'll get. Thats enough to get by.

I love getting out of school with no loan debt (had scholarships, assistantship, and a little bit of parental help) and starting at 60k+. biggrin.gif

I'm really seriously giving thought to just working a temp job for 4 months and going to grad school....

I don't have a high enough GPA right now to be considered for the jobs I want even though I'm just as capable of doing them as anyone else applying for them because the first semester I was here I had a really rough time ...

But, if I go to grad school, I bet that would improve my chances of getting on with a company I wanna get on with.

Case in point, I didn't spend 5 years of my life working for this degree to work the SAME job I got offered 7 years ago right after I graduated highschool.....quite literally.....heh smile.gif

The only issue is that your GPA may hold you back from grad school as well. I don't know what your GPA is, but if it's low you'd better score damn well on the GRE if you want to be considered for grad school. And go somewhere other than Tech if you can. TTU may have a good undergraduate ME program, but the grad program is severely lacking.

That having been said, the math portion of the GRE (the part that really matters for us) is ridiculously easy. It was a cake walk to score the 790 on it that I did.
