I'll never understand how players on a football team can reflect the quality of a university.


But aside from that -

I love Tech Football under the Mike Leach era. And this is why :

Mike Leach is an alcoholic son of a bitch who never played a down of college football himself, and he has turned this program around and made it something to fear. TTU gets players that other schools wouldn't shit on, and still ends up with throwing up numbers that many wish they could. Gimmick offense ? So what. I'll watch lower end players use a gimmick offense to make some big numbers and even upset the top dogs at sporatic times, any day.

The only teams that consistently slap TTU around are OU and UT. Are we supposed to be ashamed ?

OU and UT get extreme amounts of talent. In fact, those schools have no excuse to EVER lose to Tech. But it has happened for both teams in the past few years.

Franchione has turned the A&M program into a joke with an overpriced punchline. Hopefully he will go away, so that they will cease to pull in talent that gets no opportunity to shine.


TTU will never be the best, but that's fine. It's awesome this way. As far as I'm concerned what they are doing is much more fun than watching the much more powerful teams (OU, UT) fight it out with their hotshots, and still only rarely come out on top.


As long as Leach is commanding this team, doing things against the grain, and playing his way, I'll keep cheering for the team.
