I agree that CEO's often get paid much more than they're worth. However, that doesn't mean that people deserve 7 or 9 or 11 an hour or whatever the hell people are claiming a "living wage" is nowadays to flip burgers.

And Billy, your comparison to slavery is absolutely asinine. I maintain that anybody outside of their teens or early 20's still making minimum wage is either lazy/unmotivated or stupid. And I don't mean mentally retarded stupid, I mean pot-smoking, beer-guzzling fucking morons.

Hell, speaking of the mentally retarded, I remember now being friends with a girl who was somewhat retarded and even she was making $7 or so/hr working at an A&W store in a mall.

I worked to help place "special needs" teens (ie mentally slow) into jobs when I was in Lubbock. A lot of them dont make much above, if even $6 an hour even when having worked in the same place for more than a year or two. They are hard workers, but like I said before they arent management material so they will never be moved up. Some of you are basing the cost of living off of shitty places like Lubbock and Alberquerque where it fucking sucks so of course its cheaper to live.
