So I just got and started using Tor, and'uh... what's it do? blink.gif I meant, I know it distributes my connection through a series of random relay points to establish anonymity online, but like... I s'pose a better question would be, how do I know it's working? blink.gif

tor's picked up a lot of speed, especially since that scatterchat or whatever launched a few days ago. it's recieved an influx of something like a couple hundred thousand new users, maybe more.

be warned though, tor isn't invincible. a measly java applet can get your pc to disclose it's actual ip addy, not to mention sites like slashdot will see through it and ban you at your real IP.

If you're behind a router, your computer wouldn't be able to disclose your real IP though.
