Ok, so I'm buying a new computer. I initially wanted to buy one of the new intel macs, but found that I could be literally getting twice the computer for the same price as one of the new intel iMacs. Thus I've decided on Alienware. My main question is which is better performance-wise:

The AMD's are looking better in this tech phase, lots of intel people are converting to AMD, but it may just be a trendy thing to do.
I'd personally go get an older system. My desktop is a xp 1500+ that is about 3 years old and took only around 350 to put together and still runs Rise of Nations and CS source ok. -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!
