I have a hard time understanding how guys are getting killed in M1A2 tanks by IEDs. The only way it seems that this is possible is they were either sitting outside the armor or the fuel tank was hit and fire spread through the tank. The first seems more plausible. Just confuses me...

QUOTE Sorry for not replying sooner but I was a little busy (IEDs = 0/BombBoy =3). But yeah, there have been catastrophics on tanks in the past. Haven't heard of any recently and it depends on a person's definition of catastrophic: tank burned up, crew got out; tank disabled, etc...... The one thing I do know is that patterns will get you killed no matter what you roll in over here.
