So back in high school I ordered a DVD recording of a performance of our drill team. But it won't play in anything I have (laptop and two DVD players). In the DVD players it'll get through the first few "chapters" but then it just freezes. My computer won't even recognize that it's in the drive (it recognizes other stuff so I don't think it's the drive). I've tried downloading like DIVX and stuff, but it still doesn't read at all.

Is there anything I can do to either transfer formats or fix the problem? It's from my senior year and it's got a really high sentimental value for me so I'm willing to try almost anything.

you guys are all silly

i dont know much about it. we ordered it from the company who did the taping of the show. this was in 2003 if that helps.

it wont play on jasons computer either, but he was able to at least flip through all the titles on his dvd player.

can i transfer it onto a vhs?

if you can play it on a dvd player, you can just run the outputs of the dvd player to the inputs of the vcr.
