The new policy states that:

1. AT&T (not the customers) owns customers' confidential information and can use it however they want.
2. AT&T will track the viewing habits of it's new video/TV service (something that cable and satellite providers are prohibited from doing).
3. AT&T requires you to agree to the new privacy policy or have your accounts canceled.

they hire independent companies to do polling. Alot of these companies give a voluntary device to hook up to your tv to monitor what is being watched.
