a proprane company (Wylie LP Gas) located at 82nd and the Interstate exploded today. evidently it is still on fire. I have heard the strip is safe.

I was in shock when I heard about the fire in South Lubbock. I saw one in North (edited because I accidentally said south earlier) lubbock when I was on my way home from work.... Well, apparently the fire was in New Deal.

New Deal was first on scene and then they called out Abernathy, Lubbock, Shallowater and Idalou fire departments. It took them over an hour to extinguish the fire. We spoke with the owner of this business and the fire started when contractors were cutting iron and sparked a flame. "Out here, we take fire very seriously and especially after the last one, we try to prevent fires but this one we didn't have any control over," said Lance Webb, owner of I-27 Recyclers.
