Sony wants to stop people from being able to resale their PS3 games after they buy them.

Now how many reasons do you have not to buy a PS3?
1. Most expensive game console in history.
2. Crappy game lineup.
3. Draconian game licensing.
4. Image constraint token will keep you from watching HD movies in HD.
5. Blu-ray has DRM.

Let's not forget about the rootkit they distributed with their CDs.

Sony and their DRM... hah. They're doing everything possible to shoot themselves in the foot.

Sony adopting a licensing system whereby gamers would agree that they are purchasing a license to play a game, rather than the game itself.

Uhh, didn't anyone tell them that you can sell licenses to other people just like tangible assets? and dont tell me that the license contract says that they cant sell it because I'm quite sure that somewhere in the fine print it says that Sony has the right to revoke the license at any time. Which means that any way you look at it, its a fake contract and not enforcible in court.

So instead of going to the store to sell my used game cd, I go to the store to sell them my license and just happen to give them my game cd. Its the same thing, maybe an extra minute of paperwork to make it all nice and legal.

I have a PS2 because I wanted one, now all I do is use it for its subpar DVD functions because I'm too cheap to go buy a real DVD player. If this shit is for real, then no one but idiot fanboys will buy this overpriced "entertainment" system. Its great when the power is off, but dont try to play any games or itll lock itself and you have to call sony up every time you want to watch a DVD to get the special DVD code that is randomly generated at the Head Office so that your PS3 can sync up with the main computer, did I mention that it has to be connected to the internet at all times or the system will shutdown automatically even if youre playing single player games. Also on the PS3 there is a Bill slot for ones, fives, tens, and hundreds. When you want to play a game you will have to pay $1 per halfhour, and when your money slot fills up the PS3 will automatically send a sony technician to your house to collect the funds at only a meager $300 service charge.
