I think I used plain old Bittorrent a while back and thought it sucked monkey balls -- absolutely killed my net speed. What are good torrent clients?

using bitcoment wll get you banned from a lot of trackers as bit comet used to ignore private tracker flags.
i suggest either azereus or utorrent. azereus has a very big (and very useful) plugin support and capabilites, and is configureable as fuck, whereas uTorrent has a small system footprint and is pretty much equally configureable. (azereus is much better at managing system resources since the latest release, however). Also, bit torrent works best with a maximum of 3 torrents running at a time (usually). Not saying it won't work efficiently with more, but it could experience some slowdown. -------------------- WAIT. I'm not finished.
