I don't preach microsoft, you guys just dog the shit out of them and act like the linux/open source/apple shit is soo much better when it's really not. in reality it's all the same shit. you guys tout the stuff like it really matters. it's like arguing about cars and talking about how much cooler a valve stem cap is on a ford than on a chevy. it's pointless. so yeah, when you guys post stupid shit like that I'm gonna respond.

what matters most in computing are three things, processing power, bandwidth, and storage. unless linux/windows/apple/whateverOS can magically turn a T1 into an OC12, or a 7200 rpm drive into a 15,000, it doesn't make a damn bit of difference over linux/windows/apple/whateverOS. the software is all just personal preference of the user/maintainer. and i'm not complaining about personal opinions, geez that's the story of this message board, but presenting personal opinion as cold hard facts is when I like to respond with the "why" questions.

I use windows 90% of the time.
I'd like to use a mac if i had one, but can't guarantee i'd make a permanant switch.
I use linux only on machines that are underpowered or have designated purposes (ie, bit torrent box, which i need to get back online, and i used to have a voicemail system running on an old 386 box in a closet, haven't cared to replace it since it died.)

do you hear me sucking microsoft's cock? no.
yeah, you'll hear me tout firefox every now and then (at least over IE), but shit, anybody with half a brain could tell you that that's a smart choice.


and if you honestly think platform doesn't matter, well shit, i honestly think you're beyond saving. go grab the razor blades and have at it.
