That basically sums it up. I am sorry folks, but if you are too god damned fucking stupid to figure out how to get a highschool diploma from a public school you should just shoot yourself and be done with it. I mean for fucks sake, all you gotta do is show up to class and you get a diploma, and you don't even really have to do that half the time. It seriously just makes me laugh when people are like "Oh gee! This is a problem!" If they're too dumb to graduate then let them fucking drop out, they can make a nice career outta shining my fucking shoes. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

QUOTE (lamont's lament @ Apr 9 2006, 08:35 PM) this article just reminded me of this chapter about parenting, because one part shows that a parent reading to their young child has absolutely no bearing on whether the kid does well in school; apparently just having books in your home is enough to make a kid succeed over a home that has no books. i guess the city of chicago had some study done (they cite like 20 years of research and interviews and testing) and they were going to spend tax dollars on mailing like 2 books a month to homes with children to test the findings. That relationship sounds spurrious to me. I would venture to guess that the true relationship is that more educated parents are more likely to have books in their homes, and that more educated parents are more likely to raise more educated kids. -------------------- Holy shit, pebkac, you're awesome!
