We usually meet every Friday at 2:00 pm in the Rec's big mat room (first floor). If it's already taken, then we'll meet in the top floor corner mat area.
No-gi grappling, although we'll start incorporating strikes soon. Turnout is usually rather light, unfortunately (2-4 people). But it's still fun and a great workout. ::EDIT:: MIXED MARTIAL ARTS This post has been edited by Psykopath: Mar 2 2008, 05:01 PM -------------------- |

QUOTE (Dogmeat @ Apr 7 2006, 12:18 AM) No, like really, I mean is is a training thing with instructors who actually know how to teach beginners or just people who know what they're doing looking for victims to beat up on? ... (*yet again*) Those of us that have had formal training are not looking to beat people up. We're looking to get others to train/learn with us. We watch training tapes and work the submissions/takedowns, etc. for about 30 minutes-1 hour and then we have freestyle grappling for about another hour. Show up tomorrow, it's a great workout and nobody is out to hurt anyone else. We all just want to improve our fighting abilities. Eric (Moebary) and his brother Scott started showing up a few weeks ago. Neither had any grappling ability beforehand, but they are learning fast and are enjoying their time on the mat! -------------------- |
