avatars and YOU, common sense people Options

ok for real can we use some common sense about our avatars? people who browse at work are warned not to view the lrar thread because nsfw stuff is safe in there. but what good does that restriction do if nsfw avatars are allowed in sfw threads?

what does me not having a job have to do with anything? find me a job i can work at for the next 3 weeks until i move and i'll be happy to work. fyi i did get in trouble for dicking around on techsans at my moms office. she walked in when i was browsing, saw some fucked up pic, and told me if she caught me again during working hours id be fired.

did i come crying to techsans and demand everyone stop posting offensive stuff so i wouldnt get in trouble? hell no. i stopped browsing techsans at work and havent gotten in trouble since. not that hard of a concept to grasp, jason. if you know you might get in trouble for browsing a certain website on the job, DONT BROWSE THAT WEBSITE. common sense and personal responsibility

there are billions of non offensive websites on the net. im sure you could find many that could entertain you during your breaks. techsans hasn't particularly been a family friendly website for about 3 years. these same arguments have come up over and over during the last three years. people continue to browse techsans at work, continue to risk getting in trouble/fired, and continue to bitch and moan about a problem they could prevent themself.

My point is that as of this post, 18 of the 22 active users that have voted view Techsans at work. Isn't this supposed to be an "Online Community?" I would have thought that an online community would adapt to it's users. Most of the people who have been posting here since I started posting are graduating and working at jobs now. Since over 80% of the users view from work, does it not make sense that it should be viewable from work?

And the issue for me, once again, is not that I'm looking at the internet at work. My boss doesn't care if I look at the internet at work as long as I'm getting work done. It's not hard to multi-task. I'm just pretty sure it's common workplace etiquette to not look at porn at work.
