I don't recall what the default settings are on 7, but in any windows versions (xp sp3 has it too) you can change those alerts. it will be a link on the left side of the "security center" that says something like "change the way windows alerts me" or something. if it's popping up other times you might need to disable the user account control, forget exactly where, somewhere in the control panel you can turn that off.
