A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

Again, the guy was a scapegoat for a lot of people. He knows a lot. Learning is all about life experiences. He can bring what he learned to the students of Texas Tech. I don't see how hiring someone who is controversial is a bad thing. The best teachers are those with lots of life experiences. One of the coolest teachers I ever had was the press secretary for Ted Kennedy during his run for presidency. He was a professor of mine at Texas State. The guy had so many stories to tell. He was staunch democrat, but knew so much about government it was insane. In fact, he even spoke quite a bit about the whole Alberto Gonzales thing because that was going on when we had the class. He spoke of Gonzales pretty nicely actually. Said he knew the guy and he was very interesting. For my professor being a democrat, that speaks a lot of Gonzales. My prof said he felt pretty badly for Gonzales because a lot more people were getting out of trouble just because he was being thrown under the bus. That's pretty much the way it always works in government.

Another thing is Gonzales is also going to be like the head of recruitment for minorities or something at Tech.
