While my strength is good, my cardiovascular fitness sucks ass, so I've been researching different cardio options to get in better shape. I ran across info on the Tabata Protocol and have done Tabata sprints on stationary bike 3x now. Absolutely brutal. It's supposed to be really great for fat loss and revs up your metabolism for 24+ hrs after the workout.
Anyone else tried Tabata? If so, what has your experience been? -------------------- |

Is it basically like interval sprinting? Intervals are definitely one of the best ways to burn fat. Supposedly much more efficient than just straight up steady paced cardio. I used to run intervals in college, would go to the track and sprint straightaways and walk the turns. Worked very well. Though I realized in my old age a month ago that my knees didn't take kindly to sprinting.
