What I wrote below is just the most widely known information and obviously it's a lot more involved than how I explained it... but you catch my drift and get the idea:

The weird thing about 2012 is that the Mayans weren't the only ones who gave significance to this date. Alchemists from the middle ages wrote about it, Freemasons learn about it in certain degrees, and it's also encoded in the I-Ching. Why is it that all these cultures from different areas of the globe and from different time periods all pinpoint the same date?

A Mason encoded a message about 2012 in occult symbols in a stone cross in France.

The famous psychonaut Terence McKenna was tripping on shrooms in the Amazon jungle and had a vision about the I-Ching. McKenna encoded the I-Ching into a computer a program to graph novelty and surprise... it ends in 2012.

The thing about the Mayans is that they were extremely astronomically advanced and their calendar doesn't end on 2012. Well it does end, but then it starts over. The whole point of their calendar was so they could observe the precession of the equinox which lasts 26,000 years. In 2012 it ends and then starts a anew.

Just like the Earth goes through seasons so does the sun (already proven) and so does the galaxy (not quite proven). The total 26,000 years is usually broken into different ages and life on earth is thought to be different during each age.

Currently we're in the Kali Yuga or dark age of materialism, in 2012 we're starting over and entering the golden age where spirituality rules and materialism fades. Supposedly when we line up with the center of the galaxy in 2012 we're supposed to have several major Earth changes and humanity's consciousness is supposed to be spontaneously upgraded somehow due to this energy from the center of the galaxy. Already the sun is acting weird as it's supposed to be at the height of sunspot activity but the sunspot activity has been completely dormant for about a year now (largest recorded gap in sunspot activity ever).

Science supports this as huge quantities of ash are found in ice samples at each 26,000 year interval.

Obviously this would be something humanity would want to track and the Mayans did it with their calendar.





The Nephilim are mentioned in the bible and are called "men of renown" who bore children with the daughters of men. Supposedly the Nephilim (or Annunaki) came down from the sky and mated with human females which implies the Nephilim were extraterrestrials who visited Earth in ancient times.

The bible talks about giants often and these were the offspring of the Nephilim.

Every culture around the world has legends and myths of giants and native Americans talk of starting fires in cave entrances to suffocate the giants that lived in the caves.

There are stories of archaeological digs that are covered up all the time because remains of the Nephilim are found.
