Long story short. My ex was living with me. A few nights ago she was on the phone with someone and was bitching about my roommate and he heard her. He told her to shut her fucking mouth and talk to him if she has a problem. Then she threatened to key his truck. Then he called the cops. He comes in at like 2 in the morning (I'd been asleep since 11) and told me the cops were here. I get up, listen to both of em bitch at each other, my roommate told her she needed to get out of the house, the cop told her she needed to leave, blah blah blah. She packed her shit up and moved out. I wasn't really paying attention to her getting her stuff cause I was shooting the shit with the cop.
This afternoon I decided to go to the range so I grabbed my SKS and AR-15 I noticed my Glock .40 was missing. It's been in my closet along with the rest of my arsenal since the day I moved in. The only person who knew I had firearms in the house was my roommate, who has a shit ton of his own Who do I call to report a stolen firearm? ATF? The cops? Who stole it (even though it's obvious) or replacing it isn't important. The fact that a gun registered in my name is now missing is what scares the living shit out of me. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

Dumbest thing ever. I think all guns should be registered.

Dumbest thing ever. I think all guns should be registered. um... all guns ARE registered (if not then IS a crime), but they don't have to be RE-registered by every owner. The point is that when the gun is SOLD a background check is done by the gun store, then that owner is liable for where that gun goes after that. Not having to re-register helps prevent the Gov. from knowing where every gun is (and thus coming to take them away). Other states require re-registering, but not Texas -------------------- |
