Post your polling experiences, thoughts, results, etc.
-------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

Yes, there is a possibility, and I hope I am. I was joking because Zach made yet another stupid Obama comment.
To prove it, here is something I sent my friend Athena over MySpace in response to something she wrote. QUOTE I love everyone... yes, even Obama supporters. *kidding* See... I have hope
That being said, I hope that Obama changes our country for the better. Every American should hope for that whether they voted for him or that other old guy and that hot girl. Personally, I think Bush took a lot of blame for economic policy mistakes that were not his fault. The mortgage lending practices of selling people homes they can't afford began long before he was elected into office. Yes, he brought us into a war, a war that could have been avoided all along had Clinton had not pulled us out of Desert Storm in the first place. Many call Bush a lame duck President. Instead, I call him a scape goat President. We were bound to have a massive mortgage crisis eventually. We were bound to return to Iraq eventually. All of it just so happened to happen while Bush was in office. Bush dealt with the largest scale attack on mainland American soil ever. Of course he is going to have a lot to clean up in the aftermath. The fact that our stock market didn't crash in the days following 9/11 is a miracle. Yes, the American public was mislead when we were told the reasons as to why our young men and women were being sent to war. It is my strong belief, however, that Bush was mislead as well. The fact is that Saddam Huessin was a real threat to the security of many nations. I'm not saying I am particularly fond of Bush, but I don't think of him as the evil that many people do. I strongly hope that Obama does not pull us out of Iraq, something many analysts claim is his main agenda. We have made tremendous progress there in the past 6 months. Afghanistan now has more troop deaths per month than Iraq. Now, we are on the brink of sending troops to Pakistan. Of course I don't want this. My husband is in the military in an extremely deployable unit. I have family and friends currently in Iraq and Afghanistan. I believe, though, that the situation in the Middle East is a lasting situation. I don't think we will ever be able to pull out of that area, much like Korea. I think it will become another permanent duty station like Germany. I won't even touch on his proposed economic policies such as "spreading the wealth" and "universal health care." That would take me 20 pages to retort. I respect your decision, Athena; and like I said, I hope that our country takes a turn for the better, because Lord knows we need it. I have no issue with the fact that he is black. Had Colin Powell run for President, I probably would have voted for him. I just felt like responding for fun. Take care, and I hope all is well. |
