Post your polling experiences, thoughts, results, etc.

--------------------
A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

Went to the polling place twice today. The first time I went, I left the house at 6:50 a.m. this morning. The polling place wasn't far from our house, but we don't know the area well so we printed directions on MapQuest. Our GPS couldn't find the address at all. The directions online took us to the street, but took us to the wrong address. My husband and I were in two separate vehicles following each other around for over 20 minutes looking for the stupid polling place. We weren't the only ones either. We had a caravan of people driving in front and behind us looking for the damn building too. People were making u-turns everywhere. It was a mess. We finally found it, and the line was pretty long. I left while my husband stayed and voted. It took him an hour to get through the line. When I left, I got back to the main road and there were a number of people pulled over on the side of the road lost. I started giving people directions.

They had the voter booths facing the line at the polling place so people in line could see your votes. I personally don't care if people know who I vote for, but it was bothering quite a few people.

I went back at 1:30 this afternoon, and there was no line at all. I mean, the people running the poll site were super nice, but they weren't set up well at all. They should have had signs on the main road pointing where to turn, especially since we live in such a rural area.
