I know! We'll make out hybrids fully electric! That'll show those oil companies AND save the world! Ha HAAA! Then, we can drive them to the Al Gore Coal-Fired Powerplant protests, completley oblivious to the fact that the filthiest fuel on the planet powered our "green cars" to get to the protest! We're SAVING THE WORLD!!!!! WooOOoOOoooOOOOOOOhoOoOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

How is she clueless? It's far easier to overhaul the electricity generation infrastructure than it is to overhaul millions of cars. That's not to say that electric cars are the ultimate solution, but it isn't some ridiculous proposition.

I don't think everybody ignores, just the ones who are not informed -------------------- I go to the maize and blue

I don't think everybody ignores, just the ones who are not informed You are not going to power 250,000,000 vehicles on wind and solar energy. Won't happen. I'd believe maybe 1/10th of the entire US vehicle fleet, were everything electric, could be powered by those sources even if the devices in use were %100 effecient. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

What is a better way to power these vehicles and ensure energy independence? US has enough oil for 60 million car for 60 years, that's about 14 years for 250 million cars. -------------------- I go to the maize and blue

Get over the stupidity and start building cars that run on natural gas. Get over the stupidity and start building space ships to get us all off this rock, cuz Jesus ain't comin. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

Get over the stupidity and start building more nuclear power plants to generate electricity. Get over the stupidity and start building cars that run on natural gas. Get over the stupidity and start building space ships to get us all off this rock, cuz Jesus ain't comin. Brilliant, problem solved! In all seriousness, people are looking into nuclear power, but we still need to look into nuclear waste management. What we currently do, storing them in barrels for years to come may not be the best of idea if we are to have hundreds of nuclear power plants across the country. I haven't heard much about cars running on natural gas, but the only thing I can think of when it comes to natural gas is that they're fairly "delicate" material, as in they may explode at high pressure. Then again they use them on trucks, I'm not really sure of the safety aspects of it. As for getting off this rock, I think looking for alternative fuel on this planet is a little easier, but what do I know, they found water on Mars. -------------------- I go to the maize and blue
