I just realized this after waking up from a wierd dream last night. I've never once died in a dream. I've gotten close, where someone is chasing me with a pickaxe or something, and right when he strikes I wake up. Same thing with sex. I'm always rounding third base with some hot chick then my alarm goes off. I've never actually scored with a broad in a dream. Sucks

Is this a common occurence?

On a more serious note, it is entirely possible for your mind to simulate what it believes to be death. It is possible to imagine an experience without actually knowing for sure what that experience is like. For instance, I have had dreams of experiencing sex (unlike Will) before I had actually had sex. It is not so much that you cannot dream of dying. But is your dream accurate? Well, without knowing what death is really like, that is impossible to say for sure. But it is possible for your mind to try. In my case, and likely many others, it has.

But either way, the random guy that wrote the theory that our minds cannot imagine a world without us in it doesn't seem right to me. I have had dreams where I was not a character in the dream. The third-person type dream, except I was able to watch multiple characters and none of them were me.

Either way, it's moot. I think the only direction we can go from here is you telling me how dreaming about sex is different than dreaming about death and totally missing the point of the post. Or you can be totally original and in spite of the previous claim jokingly tell me how dreaming about sex is different than dreaming about death because you think you're funny. But I think we should all take a lesson from Brandon and just post blasphemy.
