AIG is looking for $20,000,000,000 to try to stay afloat, Merril Lynch sold itself to BoA, Lehman files for bankruptcy for losses of ~$613,000,000,000.
Dow down 504 points. S&P down 59 points. The biggest point drop since 9/11. Over $600 billion loss in value in financial stocks today, a dollar loss like that last happened when George HW Bush was still in office.
