Sarah Palin on the war in Iraq: QUOTE “pray for our military men and women, who are striving for what is right for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God, that’s what we have to make sure we’re praying for. There is a plan, and that plan is God’s plan.” Source: UTube -------------------- ![]() |

The true atheists that I have met that study the idea that God does not exist are like "Pfft... hahah. How can you believe something so ridiculous?" Christians who are true Bible studying people are like "Pfft... Well, I sure hope you are right otherwise you'll spend an eternity in hell."
If you don't know that the other person is a Christian/atheist than all is well, but the second you find out either 1) you will compromise your beliefs or 2) your friendship will start to fade. Agnosticism is different than being an atheist. Additionally, I'm talking about people who practice the religion or philosophy, not people who just claim to be of a certain belief. Finally, your analogy is flawed in that you don't chose to be Asian or black. That is out of your control. Presumably, according to what most believe, people can chose whether or not to believe in God. |
