I took my truck in this morning because it had a leak. Figured it was the hose to the transmission. Nope. Turns out it's the water pump, the break line hose, and something else. It's only gonna cost about $3 grand, not to mention $35 dollars a day to rent a car until Monday.

Guess I'm buying a new car next week . I'll probably go for something gay like an '08 Camry or Civic to hold me over for a few years

Are you still driving the Z71 pickup truck? I have a 94 GMC Sierra and I put a water pump in mine about a year ago. Something like $60 for a rebuilt pump and it took less than 2 hours to replace it. All you have to do is take off the belt, front fan pulley, and 4 bolts on the water pump.

The brake line thing must be the rubber flexy section of the hose that is right by the wheel. The steel part of the brake lines typically don't have any problems, but the rubber will deteriorate over time. I've replaced those in my dads truck and its not a big deal either. Pop the front wheels off, replace the hoses, bleed the brakes, put everything back together and smile that you didn't get taken for 3 grand

Are you talking about the green jacked up Z71 I had, or the white 4x4? I'm talking about the white truck. I'm pretty sure I had the Z before I knew you
