Best Places You've Been To Options

I know that a lot of techsans do a lot of traveling, so I thought that it would be cool to post some pics of the coolest places that you have ever visited.
I just got back from a little Scandinavian stint earlier today and thought I would share some pics of absolutely the most spectacularly awesome thing I have ever done/seen/etc...



For those to find out more about the location it's called Kjeragbolten in Southwestern Norway (near the city of Stavanger). Interestingly, a friend pointed it out that it was a location for one of the wherethehellismatt videos.

When I went there was a group of seven BASE jumpers who jumped off it. It was pretty sweet to witness it.

Also, I went to another crazy place in the fjord called Preikestolen, which is this flat triangular overhang about 800m high.



In both places, there are no railings or nettings or any safety precautions. It's reported that there have been no accidental deaths (which I can see because people are SUPER cautious) even with people hanging off/dangling over the edge. Crazy!

I just thought I would share a crazy seldom visited/known area of the world that turns out to be pretty cool. I'm interested to see photos/hear stories about other areas.

We were up on Mt. Floyen. Took the funicular up, then hiked our way down, stopping to do some geocaching along the way.

Anyways, Norway is frickin' gorgeous. The prices there aren't for the faint of heart, though; we had -- literally -- $80 nachos and beer in Bergen (that's 2 beers, 1 soda, and 2 tiny nacho appetizers).

Flam was really scenic, but it's a teeny-tiny town, so there's not really anything to do but hiking and going up and down the Flam Railway, complete with the "Maiden of the Mists" at a big waterfall... that turned out to be a guy in drag. Bergen seemed to have a lot of interesting stuff to do and I might like to return there some day.

LOVED Scotland too. We did a taxi tour there, seeing Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle and hunting down haggis (harder to find than you might think). I would love to go back and tour all over Scotland, seeing the different castles and other sights.
