Haha ok... you were looking at the numbers wrong, you can't tell me where the other 6 million illegals are, and you can't even provide the actual numbers but what I said is bullshit? That's disappointing man. You've done much better before.

How about for once you prove YOUR statement instead of relying on others to disprove it... I didn't start the thread and make the claims bud. I made no "statement". I simply said we should correlate these numbers to the illegal immigrant rates. That still hasn't been done, so since you're bitching about it and not making any contribution to the thread whatsoever, here: http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/2006/09/12/USTPstats.pdf on page 12: it's from 2000 so it will correspond exactly to the data he posted about illegal immigrants: Top 10 teen pregnancy states, place in illegal immigrants/capita list: 1. Nevada, 4 2. Arizona, 2 3. Mississippi, 41* 4. New Mexico, 14 5. Texas, 3 6. Florida, 15 7. California, 1 8. Georgia, 10 9. North Carolina, 12 10. Arkansas, 28* So 8 of the top 10 teen pregnancy states are also in the top 15 in illegal immigrants. With the two exceptions being ARKANSAS AND MISSISSIPPI (can you say hillbilly?). If you can't see any correlation whatsoever, you're blind. Might I also remind yall. Catholics don't believe in rubbers. Mexicans are predominantly Catholic. |

Your "statement" was that they needed to be correlated. Then instead of doing it yourself you bitch at other's numbers. Im just saying that if you are going to always be like "someone prove this too me" you should do some of the research yourself; instead of waiting for people to post thier own so you can say how they aren't correct. I see you actually did it now... i commend you, maybe in the future when you say someone's numbers are incorrect (after asking for them) you can put the numbers you are arguing up in your response. Oh and i agree with you that illegal immigration goes into teen pregancies (partially), but its not the only factor... -------------------- |

maybe in the future when you say someone's numbers are incorrect (after asking for them) you can put the numbers you are arguing up in your response. But I didn't say anyone's numbers were incorrect. I merely suggested that it could be a possible explanation for the numbers shown. Plus too many people (yes, including some people on here) watch/read the media take everything at face value. I figure by proposing the question it might prod people to read news objectively on their own for once. Oh and i agree with you that illegal immigration goes into teen pregancies (partially), but its not the only factor... well of course. But to what degree is it in comparison to school taught abstinence programs vs illegal immigrant population growth? |
