Why Apple blows, go zune Options

I'll tell you why Apple blows, has always blown, and will continue blowing forever.

Ever since the dawn of time, Apple has had half-assed products when compares to IBM, Microsoft, whoever.

However, Steve Jobs has always been a good talker, and he's used this abillity to convince idiots that a couple whistles and bells on an otherwise inferior product makes it technologically superior.

Case in point, the Motorola 60068 chips that the Macintoshes used for years. That chip was MUCH less effecient than the comparable Intel chips of the day, it used as much as five times as much memory to perform the same instructions as an intel chip....requiring Mac's to have a large amount of RAM memory, much more than the x86 counterparts ... keep in mind this was back in the 80's and 90's when RAM memory was the most expensive part of the computer.

Then came the "PowerPC".

Then went the "PowerPC".

Another product from Apple that was supposed to revolutionize the world. Wow. It didn't. Go figure.

Bottom line is, since Apple's inception they've claimed everything they've done revolutionized the world, modern computing, and made our lives better. Yet somehow magically, the only real use that their products got was by schools, and this was because Apple had programs set up to offer Apple computers at HEAVILY discounted prices to public schools. He also made sure that the only trump apple had over MS at the time was that all the best desktop publishing and photo editing software was out on the Macs at the time, so all the newspapers and magazines would use use Macs and give them rave reviews.

It was an attempt by Steve Jobs to program the youth of america that Apple was the shit, and using the magazines was icing on the cake.

It failed. Go figure. Any time Steve Jobs claims something is going to revolutionize the world, rest assured, it will fall completley on it's ass.

Remember how Apple switched over to a NetBSD kernel with their own window manager on top of X a few years back because of how monumentally fucking HORRIBLE MacOS in all it's incantations were?

Yeah, and don't even get me fucking started on all that "IT / Segway" bullshit a couple years ago.

As soon as I started reading the hype about that and saw that Steve Jobs was an investor I IMMEDIATLEY knew it was going to be a bunch of hype that would ultimatley amount to NOTHING.

Apple sucks, has always sucked, and will continue to suck.....FOREVER.
