What do you do when two of your close friends do not like your boyfriend?

The guy I am dating says hes never even met them before, but yet they are trashing him....do I go to them and tell them to quit their bullshit?

So are you positive they don't know him? I mean, the gay community seems to be very close knit, like all gay people in a city know each other. Maybe they heard something from someone else about him? Or did you lean on them when times were rough with him? These are all questions you need to ask. If they truly don't know him or anything about him, then ignore them. They just have penis envy.

They say that he made a pass at one and when he was rejected he went nuts. My issue with my friends is (they're a couple) that the one whom he hasn't met has a tendency to embellish things for the sake of making it all dramatic. So, im trying to take what they say with a grain of salt.


Well, My roommate is throwing a party this weekend at our place, and invited him....i passed on the invitation with the knowledge that the two others would be there. He said he would go with me, and that hopefully they would take the opportunity to get to know him better...so I think he's kinda being the bigger man right now.

yeah, I mean, the thing is, if someone is bad for you, you are going to know it deep down. You just may ignore your instincts. If you don't have a bad feeling about him, then just ignore your friends. If your friends are only affirming that little voice inside your head, though, then maybe you should listen up. Sounds more like the guy just misunderstood your guy's intentions at the grocery store.
