Comcast and Time Warner shared markets. Time Warner ran Houston, Comcast ran DFW. Well through some business deal at the end of last year, they split up, and Comcast took over Houston and Time Warner took over DFW. I currently have Comcast, and am getting pretty bad service lately. I'll have whole HD channels drop out, stuttering/etc, and this is on pre-recorded stuff not just live sports. Also lost internet a few times recently, one time for about 45 mins the one damn day I decided to work from home. I figure since neither Comcast or AT&T Uverse has contracts, it's worth a shot to try it out.
Comcast also implemented some new architecture to their signal, cramming a forth HD channel into a stream that should only carry 3. As a result they've had to increase compression which degrades the picture quality quite a bit. They've just all around been pissing me off. |

In Savannah, though, they have Comcast which is why I ask. Hopefully Comcast in Savannah isn't shitty like it is there.
