So I found a new joy of cooking on an open fire in my girlfriends backyard. Anyone got good mixes such as hobo stew and such? I like easy stuff that is premake and doesn't need much tending.

ACTUALLY

it takes longer to cook the bacon. (if you use thick-cut deli bacon) and with the grease, you need to understand you are frying the shrimp as well as grilling it. you wrap in in bacon to retain heat, fry it on all surfaces, and it acts like a shield against char. so the bacon is kinda like a mini-oven for each shrimp

except with hot grease..
