I bought a new desktop at 4am the morning after Thanksgiving because I knew eventually my laptop would crap out and I'd be up a creek forced to pay twice what the sales were offering. I've been lucky enough that the desktop has been in the box untouched since then. Last week I decided to set up the desktop to start transferring files and docs before the laptop dies completely.

My problem is that the desktop's speakers are built into the monitor, and for the life of me I can't find the cord that connects them. I have all the other cords that came in the box and all the instructions and such. I don't remember seeing the cord, so it's not necessarily a matter of misplacing it. Problem is that I threw out all the packing materials, not to mention I bought the computer 6 months ago, so not only would Best Buy laugh at me for trying to bring it back and say something was missing, they probably wouldn't even have the same model for me to exchange it for.

Is there a name for this cord? The instructions just say it's green. One end plugs into the back of the monitor in a hole the size of a headphone jack, and the other plugs into the back of the CPU into a hole of the same size. I will buy a new one on ebay or something, I just don't know what to search for.

To connect the monitor to the CPU

Sorry after rereading I see where the confusion is. I need the cord that connects the monitor to the CPU, not that connects speakers to the monitor.
