We already have a smoking ban in public places. We also have legislation in the works that would ban smoking in private residences that adjoin other buildings (practically every home in San Francisco). Now corner stores might soon be banned from just selling cigarettes. Behold what happens when you give up your right to choose to Big Brother -- a little here, a little there, and before you know it, there's no freedom left.

Dude so the night I posted this, I woke up at 4:00am to the smell of smoke. It was thick. It was like someone had been smoking in my room all night. My roommate sometimes brings his shitty friends over at weird hours and on occasion they smoke. They didn't ventilate it very well this time, I guess. I thought I was going to barf, but I only had a couple hours before I had to get up for work so I decided to tough it out and just try to sleep through it.

So later I get up, get ready for work, and go out to the kitchen to make my lunch before I go, and there's this random old lady puffing away at a cig at my kitchen table. I have no idea who this person is. She's all like, "Oh, hi!" like she knows me or something. I was so pissed all day long because of that. So fucking inconsiderate. I get my shit smelling like smoke because my fucktard roommate treats our apartment like it's a Days Inn. I see random people crashed in our living room a lot, but dude, the smoking thing sent me over the edge.

And to think I was up the night before bitching about that cunt's smoking rights. The god of irony/karma strikes again.
